JAPAN - Oct 9, 2002

Tired of hiding his gay nature, 28-year-old Taiga Ishikawa has authored a book entitled Where Is My Boyfriend?, in an attempt to counter the narrow views held by Japanese society towards homosexuality. Not surprisingly, the Internet played a key role in his journey of self-awareness, enabling him to make contact with other gays in a society where most are forced into the shadows.

Boku No Kareshi Ha Doko Ni Iru? is published by Kodansha. Read a review of the book at Japan Today.
