Organizers have announced that the annual Pride March will be held held on Saturday, December 13. This date means that the celebration will closely follow World AIDS Day (Dec. 1), National Lesbian Day (Dec. 8), and International Human Rights Day (Dec. 10).
Task Force Pride Philippines, the official organizer of the LGBT Pride March in Manila, has launched a six-month long celebration of pride and diversity whose theme is "Rainbow Revolution: Igniting Change."
An intense "Pride Season" has been planned, brimming with diverse activities, such as art exhibits, public forums, spiritual retreats, film screenings, sports events, concerts, and community parties.
Task Force Pride Philippines is a network of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) organizations and LGBT-friendly groups committed to promoting respect for the diverse expressions of responsible sexuality, and the recognition of the right of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders to a dignified life without discrimination and prejudice.
